The Fonseca Cup has returned for 2025.
Come to Chicago for a day of action-packed competition, using both AAU and WKF rules.
The Fonseca Cup has drawn in competitors from the Chicagoland area, as well as top competitors from all over the world, including Japan, El Salvador, Venezuela, Albania, Senegal, the Dominican Republic, and Canada. Our goal is to provide an efficient and professionally run event for competitors of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to elite.
Beginner: white - orange belts
Novice: green - purple belts
Intermediate: brown belts
Advanced: black belts
**Belt levels differ for Little Dragons divisions (FMA students only), participants should look for the Little Dragons belt breakdown in their division description

British Columbia (BC) Open Karate Championships
This year, Canada Open’s recreational and elite categories have been split into two separate tournaments. The recreational division, where most of our students competed last year, has been termed “BC Open”, and the elite division will be called “Canada Open.”

JKA NorCal is proud to bring Sensei Yuko Hirayama, 7th Dan from JKA World Headquarters to California for the first time. The seminars will demonstrate the the highest level of shotokan karate through kihon, kata, and kumite. We look forward to holding 6 sessions over two days, including an early morning open mat at JKA NorCal hosted by several members of the JKA-USA national team. Following this we will hold 5 sessions with Sensei Hirayama at the Japanese Cultural & Community Center of Northern California in San Francisco’s beautiful Japantown.

4th FSK UK WORLD KARATE CUP.
Myself, the FSK UK team and all our students will welcome you to the UK and the unique city of Crawley. The event will be held from the 24th – 26th October 2025 at the internationally recognised K2 Sports and Leisure Centre.
We are exceptionally proud to be hosting this tournament and we will do our very best to ensure that the organisation and standard of the tournament will not disappoint. As in 2017, 2019 and 2022 the focus will be on the athletes and uniting our diverse karate family through our love for Karate.
In a time of world uncertainty FSK UK remains inclusive and celebrates UBUNTU (togetherness). Karate speaks all languages and connects people across many countries regardless of race, sex orientation, religion and political status. We hold firmly the core principles of our karate and truly appreciate the privilege of uniting so many clubs & karateka.
Los Angeles Karate Open 2025 (Fountain Valley, CA)
This tournament aims to support the development of the USA Karate National Federation's program by engaging young, energetic referees and judges in California. We will utilize promising, licensed officials recognized by the USA National Karate Federation.
This tournament held under USANKF rules, only qualified WKF and PKF-licensed referees and judges will be selected. All licensed National and Regional Program officials are invited to participate.
Registration will close once we reach 200 registered athletes.
